Carol Berrey began her art training, aged eight, at the California College of Arts and Crafts, and then at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. After graduation from BYU she escaped from a group camping tour of Europe and spent the next twelve years teaching and living in and around Rome, Italy. Daily contact with some of the world's great art impacted her deeply, and continues to be an influence in her paintings. After returning to America she completed her Ph.D. and embarked on a career as a professor and university administrator. She now paints full time. Her works are in collections in Italy and America.
