The variety of women's roles, both historically and presently, has always impressed me. Most inspiring is the aspect of nurturing and pure loving compassion that women and mother's seem uniquely blessed with. I strive for a balance between intricate detail and large powerful shapes, between strength and sensitivity, and between an individual's private inner emotions and the experiences that connect us all as members of human family.
Lynde grew up in many different areas of the country as her father was employed in the Air Force. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Design/Illustration in 1997. Her reproductions are sold mainly through Altus Fine Art. She lives in Pleasant Grove, Ut, with her husband, three teenage boys, nine chickens and a canary. Every room in their home has a mural. Her husband has cheerfully resigned himself to the fact that, "No surface is safe from Lynde."
