I received my BFA from BYU in 2001 and my MFA from Utah State University in 2006. I create work in a variety of media, including collage, painting and installation. I have also curated several large group exhibitions.
My artwork focuses on the Hegelian concept of synthesis, both on formal and conceptual levels. Through the use of mixed media and ostensibly disparate images, I explore relationships between ideas and imagery, and seek to find synthesis aesthetically and conceptually.
Outside of art, I've been a newspaper editor and now work as a designer and front-end web developer. I also teach painting and drawing at Westminster College in Salt Lake.
I live with my wife and daughter in Spanish Fork.
