Artist Statement
Normandie Luscher is an artist from the D.C. area. She has studied with several very talented artists, including Rose Datoc Dall and other accomplished artists at Brigham Young University in the BFA Illustration program. In addition to her Illustration degree, she is also currently pursuing Art Education, as she is highly motivated by the opportunities that learning and knowledge present for all those who seek for it.
Her art content and style is influenced by art history and world events, but also by folk art and every day human interactions. Growth comes in small and simple moments and she tries to incorporate feelings of nostalgia that often hold such power in our emotions and learning.
